Nigerian talent manager and music executive Jude Okoye has thrown shots at his brother, Peter Okoye, Cynthia Morgan and others.

In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, he stated that the artists who left his record label shared one thing in common: They were big, influential, and successful when he was shouldering them with his platform until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and left.

He noted how they never complained afterwards but rather bragged about their newfound freedom and making it all on their own. Now that they have fallen off the wagon and become broke, rather than accept responsibility and accountability, they are pointing fingers at him.

Questioning what manner of madness such behaviour is, he noted how they can’t specifically mention what wrongs he did to them.

“They all have one thing in common: They were big, influential and successful when I was shouldering them with my platform until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and so left. They never complained afterwards. Rather, they bragged about their “newfound freedom” and “making it all on their own”. Years down the line, they fell off the wagon and became broke, and instead of accepting responsibility and accountability for their choices, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left for their “freedom”. What manner of madness is that? They can’t specifically mention what wrongs were done to them, how and where. You can’t sell goods to someone and later demand them back while refusing to return the money spent on the goods. Steady spinning sentiments and emotions to see if I can be blackmailed into submission. You should know by now that I don’t succumb to bullying or cheap blackmail. They concocted and fabricated lies, attached money laundering and fraud to my name to get me jailed for me to break down within days and submit to their demands, but to their surprise, I sat it out for 2months. Una Dey find money when una don chop finish. When next they come out ranting, ask them what is wrong I did to them that resulted in their present situation”.

Kemi Filani reported in March that Jude was arraigned at FHC in Ikoyi, for an alleged N1.38 billion fraud by EFCC. In April, he was finally released from detention. His younger brother, Paul, announced his release on his Instagram story as he threw shade at his twin brother, Peter, noting how all his efforts to frustrate his bail had finally collapsed.

Addressing the accusations from Peter, Jude, via his Instagram Live noted how people keep expecting him to settle the differences between his brothers when Peter Okoye doesn’t even respect him. He stated that he hadn’t had anything to do with Psquare in 8 years and questioned why Peter is always fond of roping him in his issues.

In 2020, Cynthia alleged that Jude took over all her social media accounts and stripped her of her name after she opted to leave the label. An accusation Jude denied with proof. The embattled reggae dancer accused him of owing her N7m and continued to drag him, raining curses on him as she wished him suffering and tagged him “evil”.

Reacting to her rants, Jude Okoye mocked her in a sarcastic tweet, sarcastically claiming that Dangote also owes him N20 billion. He added that if he shouted too long, it might also become real.
