WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, popularly referred to as Fireboy DML, has shared his opinion about the Super Eagles, admitting he feels Ghana are a better team, Soccernet.ng reports. The “Peru” crooner has become the household name in the Nigerian music industry since his debut album (Laughter, tears and goosebumps) was released in 2019. Since then, he’s released several hits like Hell and Back, Isheoluwa and Champion. Still, the current state of their Super Eagles, especially after their World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe, has left the talented vocalist concerned. While he agrees that Nigeria has better individual talents, Fireboy mentioned Ghana are well coordinated as a team. Individually, we are better…” – Fireboy DML pic.twitter.com/fbLAb2kh8l — @ (@OneJoblessBoy) April 13, 2025 “Right now, Ghana are the better team. Individually, we’re better, but as a team, they’re better, from what I’ve watched. “For some reason, we’ve not been able to combine the brilliance of each player to form something solid. I think it’ll take some time. We have a lot of stars. “Ghana have Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus. Those two alone, we don’t have a midfield that can battle them right now. Look at how partey handled madrid. That guy is a serious baller,” the 29-year-old said on the 90’s baby show. While Fireboy made very solid points regarding the Nigerian football team, it is also clear that the Super Eagles’ problems cannot hide for much longer. Based on the status of the players in the squad, Eric Chelle possesses arguably the best-ever Nigerian team. The Super Eagles are languishing in fourth place in their World Cup qualifiers group, six points behind South Africa while the Black Stars are top of their group with 15 points from six games. If Nigerians will take any consolation about being ahead of their friendly neighbours, asides making better jollof, it’ll be the joy in knowing Otto Addo’s side failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025 tournament.Get Our Sports News First – Join Our WhatsApp Channel Now!
