Portable wears mask to perform

Since gaining widespread fame, Portable has become well-known for his bizarre behaviors and online tantrums. Anyone attending his concert or performance should be prepared for the unexpected.

In January last year, Portable created a scene at a live concert as he performed on a ladder. A viral video showed the father of four climbing a ladder to perform. When Portable got to the top of the ladder, he held on to a battalion of tyres that had been created for him.

This performance came a few days after he cried out for help as he performed on water in Port Harcourt. Portable, who couldn’t believe his eyes when he was told he would be performing on water in Port Harcourt, screamed out in fear, as he cried out for help.

The biggest of his stage performances was when he arrived at his 2022 December concert in a coffin at the African Shrine. In the video, Portable was captured entering a coffin as he was been transported to the stage.

In September 2022, during a Live show, he showed off his epileptic dance moves. This triggered mixed reactions online as while some found his behavior funny; others thought it was a ‘mental’ issue on the singer’s side.

To top it off, the father of five had read the riot act to his fans while headlining the Al Mining concert in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos State. Stigmatizing phone users, Portable told Android phone users not to record him with their phones.

Recall that Portable gained widespread popularity after the release of his song “Zazu Zeh” in December 2021, where he featured rapper, singer, and songwriter Olamide and dancer Iwe Pascal, better known as Poco Lee.

Speaking on his rise to fame, he said that Poco Lee and Olamide didn’t make him as he was well-known before they reached out to him. He stressed that no one made him who he is today and credited his fans and God for his fame.
