Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has commended Korra Obidi for her recent dance at his father’s grave.

Naijaonpoint reports that over the weekend, Korra visited Fela Kuti’s burial site in Nigeria and performed a twerking tribute.

She described the dance as an offering inspired by Fela’s love for lively performances and expressive dance.

Seun Kuti welcomed the gesture, saying it reflected the bold and energetic spirit his father was known for.

He wrote: “You guys know what baba likes but you will never give him what he wants. E go better for you my sister”.

In other news, Nigerian Singer Femi Kuti has opened up about his childhood with his father, the late Afrobeat icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, saying he grew up without direct teaching and had to find his way through observation.

Naijaonpoint reports that he spoke at the Ake Arts and Books Festival in Lagos, where he described his upbringing as unusual.

According to him, there were no formal lessons at home, yet his father expected him to know things on his own.

He recalled how he was pushed to read and understand many things even though he had not been taught in the usual way.

Femi explained that the normal father-son bond did not exist in their home.
