Taking to her Instagram page to sympathize with them, Iyabo stated that she was sorry over the year as she expressed gratitude that no lives were lost. Iyabo told the couple that God is with them and He will help them rebuild and create something more beautiful.

The mother of two added that the list isn’t the end but a new beginning. She told them to stay strong and offered support to the couple.

“My dear friend @realmercyaigbe & my humble brother @kazimadeoti I’m deeply sorry to hear about the devastating loss of your home. My heart goes out to you both during this challenging time.

Please know that God is with you, and He will help you rebuild and create something even more beautiful. This loss is not the end but a new beginning.

I’m grateful that no lives were lost, and with that, there’s hope for a brighter future. Stay strong, my dear friends, and know that I’m here for you. Sending you love, sympathy, and support during this difficult time”.

Mercy Aigbe would add to the list of celebrities, who have lost their homes to fire incidents.

Last year in December, actress Bidemi Kosoko lost her house to a fire incident. Her elder sister, Sola Kosoko had shared a video of the aftermath of her house, as she narrated how the incident happened.

In November, last year, Orezi shared on social media that his house, valued at over 300 million Naira, was destroyed by fire. The tragic news hit him unexpectedly while he was at a meeting in Lekki country. His neighbor, Bobrisky, called him with the alarming news, which Orezi initially dismissed as a cruel joke. But reality struck hard when he arrived home to find his house reduced to a Smokey mess.

Singer, Small Doctor also lost his Lagos mansion to a fire incident. Though properties were destroyed in the fire, Small Doctor said no life was lost.

In August, AY’s Lagos house was gutted by fire when his wife and kids were overseas and millions of properties were destroyed. Videos online captured the moment a Lagos State Fire Service truck tried quenching the raging fire.

A similar incident happened to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi in April, 2023, as a building apartment in the palace was razed down by fire.
