Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has spoken about her visit to the Emir of Ilorin.
Kemi Filani reported a day ago that the filmmaker had visited the palace of the Emir, HRH Alh Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, alongside Cute Abiola, Funmi Awelewa, Erekere, and others.
Sharing a clip from the courtesy visit, Funke described it as an emotional visit as she appreciated the monarch for his warm reception.
She also appreciated her colleagues, road managers and more for their support.

Just hours ago, Funke had shattered records as her 2025 Cinema movie, Behind The Scenes, grossed N2,100,000,000 in a month. Expressing excitement, she credited her big win to God being in motion and expressed gratitude to Him.
Funke, had beaten her previous record as her 2024 Cinema movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa grossed 1.6 billion.
Last week, when BTS hit N1 billion, the former wife of JJC Skillz said that over the years, she had always valued her fans because, without them, she would be nobody.
The box office Queen, while sending a message to young creatives, admitted that her journey to success wasn’t always pretty, but it was worth it. Funke expressed how proud she was that she came from a place of hustle and hard work and advice to her junior colleagues.
In December, Akindele had celebrated 27 years in the movie industry. She noted how God’s favour and hard work have brought her this far, and revealed the key to achieving continuous success.
In an Instagram post, Funke shared her secret to continuous growth, stating that with each film project, she is reminded that growth occurs outside of comfort zones. Funke said hard work, consistency, and focus lead to continuous growth.
In the middle of the year, the box office Queen had reflected on her early beginnings as she celebrated grace. She revealed that there was a year where she had no spotlight, but the dreams were loud, but time, growth and grace turned the process into purpose.
While speaking on her passion for filmmaking and directing, she revealed that as a perfectionist, she strives to ensure every detail is right.
