Thomas Frank left Brentford for Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the week, and Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika might just be one of his signings, Soccernet.ng reports.

Tottenham sacked Ange Postecoglou last week following their dismal campaign that saw them finish 16th in the English Premier League, albeit they won the Europa League. Then, earlier this week, they confirmed Frank’s appointment.

The Danish man will be expected to make some changes to the Spurs side, especially their style of play. Obviously, since Tottenham are a bigger club than Brentford, Frank would have to tweak his style from his former club to meet the standards.

To do that, he would have to make some changes to the squad too. As such, one or two players might exit Tottenham to make room for incomings.

Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo looked like he was destined for Manchester United, but Tottenham are looking to hijack the deal.

Also, All Things THFC reports that Frank has informed Tottenham that he wants a new defensive midfielder. It was part of the demands when he made before signing for the club.

If Tottenham are looking for a new defensive midfielder, Super Eagles star Raphael Onyedika might just be their man.

The FC Ebedei product has proven to be a top player at Club Brugge over the past three years since he joined from Danish club Midtjylland. Onyedika has featured in 141 games, with six goals and four assists to his name.

He is physical and can pass the ball really well. Onyedika is a fine tackler, and has excellent work rate to go with it. Whenever he plays, he covers every blade of grass.

Onyedika would be a good buy for Tottenham due to his qualities. Also, he will come quite cheap for a club like Tottenham, as he is valued at €20 million on Transfermarkt.

Although he is 24, he has a lot of experience in Europe, as he has played in the UEFA Champions League. He has also won the league with Club Brugge.

For now, Tottenham have not been linked to Onyedika. But he is definitely one that Tottenham should look at.
