Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has penned a heartfelt note to the public following their outpouring of love.
The movie star, whose office was burned a week ago, revealed via her Instagram page that she sees the love and support, words of encouragement, and prayers. She expressed her gratitude for their support, which she stated she doesn’t take for granted.
She assured the public to be at peace, noting that the devil may rage, but God triumphs in the end.
“I see the love and support, your words of encouragement, and prayers. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you, and I don’t take it for granted.
My beautiful people, please be at peace: though the devil may rage, God triumphs in the end”.
Kemi Filani reported earlier this month that Iyabo’s office building had caught fire. Sharing a video of the incident, she expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for salvaging what was left. She also thanked her creator, as no lives were lost. Iyabo noted how the devil tested them, but God said no.
While dealing with the fire incident, some men had taken to the streets of Lagos, chanting “E no go better for Iyabo Ojo” in response to Mohbad’s incident.
Addressing them, in an Instagram post, Iyabo said she never affirmed that Mohbad’s death was caused by any specific individual. Iyabo noted how certain individuals have, over the years, consistently called for her death, the destruction of her source of livelihood and have engaged in public violence against her and her children without any intervention from the authorities. She revealed that a few days before her daughter’s wedding in Tanzania, she was sent a letter threatening her life at her office.
Some of her colleagues had sent encouraging words to her. Her best friend, Lola Alao had testified about Iyabo. She described her colleague as a kind-hearted person and a cheerful giver. She stated that Iyabo is the type who leaves her problems and fights for yours, and expressed sadness at how she was getting mercilessly dragged.
Opeyemi Aiyeola also spoke on Iyabo’s unique personality. She noted how Iyabo has been entangled in many emotionally controversial situations, but beyond all the controversies, she is an angel to many. She admonished Iyabo to continue to stay strong, faithful, and true. She assured her that Heaven would see her through this difficult season.
Over the years, many celebrities have spoken highly of Iyabo Ojo.
Adedola Aderonke, better known as Ashabi Olorisha, praised Iyabo as she noted how her good heart will always work for her and her generation. Ashabi went on to rain powerful prayers on her.
Kiitan Bukola revealed how Iyabo offered her accommodation following the demolition of her house in Lekki by the Lagos State government.
Bimbo Success also disclosed how Iyabo Ojo reached out to her after learning of her twins’ struggles with a severe cough. Bimbo, penning a gratifying note to Iyabo, said the actress was a bit saddened that she wasn’t informed of the situation.
