Thugs Attack Malami’s Convoy Again In Kebbi

Abubakar Malami

The convoy of former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, came under attack on Friday by suspected political thugs in Argungu, Kebbi State.

According to Daily Post, the assailants, clad in APC jerseys and armed with weapons, targeted vehicles in Malami’s convoy as he was leaving a wedding ceremony.

The attackers reportedly hurled insults at his supporters, though no casualties were immediately recorded.

Friday’s incident comes barely a month after Malami’s convoy was attacked by suspected political thugs on September 1, 2025, shortly after he returned from a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Imam of Dr Bello Haliru Jumu’ah Mosque.

The repeated targeting of the former AGF’s entourage has raised fresh concerns about the rising wave of political thuggery in Kebbi State.

Naijaonpoint recalls that the Department of State Services (DSS) interrogated Malami over the incident in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, following the previous attack.

In a Facebook post, Malami confirmed he had honoured the DSS invitation and was fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Naijaonpoint reports that the former minister alleged that opposition political figures in Kebbi instigated the petition, which led to his interrogation.

However, he praised the DSS for the way it handled the questioning.
