Popular TikTok content creator Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has suggested that he may not return to school just days after celebrating his admission to study law at a private university in Lagos State.
In a voice note shared on his channel on Tuesday, Peller expressed his frustrations about how attending school was impacting his ability to earn money. “Guys, I swear to God, I remember saying I was going to school… I am not going again. I am not going again,” he declared.
He elaborated that spending hours in class without generating income was unacceptable. “I just remembered I was in class for four hours and didn’t make any money. I would write, I would look around, I would play, but I wasn’t making anything. God forbid. I am not doing that again,” he said.
Peller also mentioned that he felt out of place among his classmates, remarking that he was the youngest person in the room. “When I entered the school, I noticed that everyone was older; I was the only young one there,” he added.
He suggested that he might return to school later in life. “So, maybe when I’m older, like 30 or 40 years old, I will go back to school. Please cancel everything. I am tired,” he confessed.
This development marks a significant change from Peller’s recent enthusiasm about his admission into a law program. Just a few days ago, in a video that went viral on Saturday, he announced he had secured a spot at a private university in Lagos State, although he did not disclose the institution’s name.
In that video, Peller expressed his excitement and responded to critics who had mocked his educational background. “Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university. Now, all of you should leave social media because I’m in school,” he said, adding, “I’m now studying law. You can see it, right? You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law.”
The content creator had faced ongoing criticism online concerning his grammar and educational history, with some users labelling him as “uneducated.” Earlier this month, Peller had announced plans to further his education, noting that his decision was partly aimed at improving his spoken English.
