A statement from the Presidency confirmed that President Tinubu has received Ngelale’s memo, in which Ngelale, also the Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, requested an indefinite leave of absence for personal and health reasons. “The President fully understands and accepts the reasons for this leave and expresses sympathy for the circumstances that led to this difficult decision,” the statement read. President Tinubu extended his heartfelt prayers and best wishes to Chief Ngelale and his family during this challenging time, hoping for a swift and complete recovery.
