Tinubu appoints APC chairman Ganduje, others as board chairpersons, CEOs

Additionally, Senator Bashiru Ajibola, the APC National Secretary, has been appointed as the board chairman of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC).

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced these appointments in a statement today.

The statement noted, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations and a secretary for the board of the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services.”

It also mentioned the appointment of a new managing director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a director-general for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).

Former Kebbi State Deputy Governor Sulaiman Argungu has been appointed as the Chairman of the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company. Furthermore, Magnus Abe, a long-time ally of the President and former Senator for Rivers South-East, has been named Chairman of the National Agency for Great Green Wall.

According to the presidential spokesman, Tinubu instructed the board chairpersons to refrain from interfering with the management of their respective organizations, emphasizing that their roles are non-executive.

All the appointments take immediate effect.
