Tinubu Attends APC NEC Meeting At State House

APC Caucus Meeting

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is attending the 15th National Executive Committee meeting of the All Progressives Congress at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The session commenced at 6:05 pm on Friday when the President arrived at the venue.

Friday’s meeting is the APC’s second NEC gathering in 2025, following an earlier session held in February.

It is also the first NEC meeting since Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda emerged as the party’s National Chairman in July.

The meeting opened with a Christian prayer led by the Taraba State Governor, Kefas Agbu.

The NEC meeting comes days after the APC rescheduled its National Caucus and NEC meetings from December 15–16 to December 18–19.

The NEC session is holding at the Presidential Villa.

According to The PUNCH, several governors and top party chieftains were at the venue.

Those in attendance include serving APC governors, former governors and principal officers of the National Assembly.

Also present were six governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party who recently defected to the APC.

They include Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara; Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah; Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori; Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri; Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno; and Taraba State Governor Kefas Agbu.

The APC National Executive Committee is the party’s highest decision-making organ between conventions.

It comprises the President, Vice President, National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee, governors and other key stakeholders.

The body is responsible for taking binding decisions on party administration, policy direction and preparations for future elections.
