President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The session commenced with a minute of silence in honour of the late Navy Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd), a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and later of Police Affairs, who passed away on March 10, 2025.
Vice-President Kashim Shettima was in attendance alongside other government officials, including the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. (Mrs.) Didi Walson-Jack; and the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Emmason Imabong.
Several ministers were also present at the meeting, including the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun; Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
Before the council deliberations began, President Tinubu administered the oath of office to Hon. Nnanna Uzor Kalu, newly appointed member of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
