WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Presidency has rubbished speculations circulating on social media that President Bola Tinubu traveled to France for medical treatment. According to Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, the trip is a working visit aimed at reviewing ongoing reforms and engaging in strategic planning ahead of the administration’s second anniversary. Bwala described the social media rumors as baseless, saying, “Sometimes on social media, somebody will be tweeting, you don’t even know who the person is; it can be somebody who has mental health somewhere.” He emphasized that the President’s activities during the visit have been publicly shared, dispelling any claims of a medical trip. Tinubu left Nigeria on April 2, 2025, for Paris and is expected back in the country by April 16, 2025. The Presidency has shared footage of the President’s departure, showing him greeting top government officials before boarding the presidential aircraft.
