WATCH THE VIDEO HERE PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has imposed a limit of three vehicles for the official convoys of ministers and heads of departments and agencies as part of his administration’s cost-cutting initiatives. “No additional vehicles will be provided for their transportation,” said presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga in a statement today. The President has also directed that all ministers, ministers of state, and agency heads be allocated a maximum of five security personnel. “The security detail will consist of four police officers and one Department of State Services (DSS) officer. No additional security personnel will be assigned,” he added. Tinubu instructed National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu to coordinate with military, paramilitary, and security agencies to assess appropriate reductions in both vehicle and personnel allocations. “All officials affected by these measures are expected to comply immediately, emphasizing the urgency and importance of these changes,” Onanuga said. Earlier in January, the President had cut his foreign trip entourage from 50 to 20 officials and limited local trips to 25 officials. Vice President Kashim Shettima’s entourage was similarly reduced to five officials for foreign trips and 15 for local travel.
