President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to embark on a three-state visit this weekend, travelling from Abuja to Borno, Bauchi and Lagos.
The trip was announced in a statement issued on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
In Borno, President Tinubu will commission a number of federal and state projects alongside Governor Babagana Zulum.
He is also expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, and Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Maiduguri, the President will proceed to Bauchi to commiserate with the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the prominent Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, who died on 27 November.
After the Bauchi visit, President Tinubu will head to Lagos for the end-of-year holidays. While in the city, he is scheduled to serve as Guest of Honour at the Eyo Festival on 27 December at Tafawa Balewa Square.
The festival will celebrate notable personalities, including President Tinubu’s mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, and former Lagos Governors Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Michael Otedola.
