Tinubu to visit France tomorrow

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu will visit France tomorrow at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron.

In a statement released today, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced that Tinubu will be received on Thursday at the historic Les Invalides military museum and the Élysée Palace by Macron and his wife, Brigitte, for official ceremonies leading to bilateral discussions.

The three-day visit aims to strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties while exploring new partnerships in areas such as agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, innovation, employment, and energy transition.

The leaders will engage in political and diplomatic talks on shared priorities, including finance, trade, solid minerals, and communication. They will also attend a session of the France-Nigeria Business Council, which focuses on fostering private sector involvement in economic development.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Brigitte Macron are set to discuss initiatives for empowering women, children, and vulnerable groups through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

President Tinubu, accompanied by his wife and senior government officials, will conclude the visit with a state dinner hosted by Macron before departing France.
