The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has stated that those who want to dislodge his principal in 2027 have a lot to do.
This is as he stated that the results of the reform policies embarked upon by President Tinubu are torturing those who want to take power from him in 2027.
Naijaonpoint reports that Bwala stated this on Tuesday in a post via his 𝕏 account, where he shared a news report that Nigeria surpassed the oil production target set by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) for a second consecutive month.
The presidential aide added that the Tinubu government remains committed to making life better for Nigerians.
He wrote, “The result of President Tinubu’s reform policy is truly torturing those who want to collect power from him in 2027. Our focus is to improve the living conditions of the Nigerian people.”
Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Sani, has stated that Peter Obi may not be able to fulfil his promise to serve only one term in office if elected as President of Nigeria due to pressure from his supporters.
Sani, who spoke during Tuesday’s edition of Channels Television’s The Morning Brief, argued that the promise may ultimately be out of Obi’s control.
The PDP chieftain added that he believes Peter Obi has every intention of fulfilling his one-term promise but apart from his supporters, if the Labour Party chieftain performs well in office, other Nigerians would also want him to contest for a second term.
Despite his belief in Obi’s integrity, Sani stated that former President Goodluck Jonathan is the best candidate the PDP can field for the 2027 elections.
According to him, the Jonathan option is in the interest of the northern region, as he can not do more than a single term of four years as a result of constitutional restrictions.
