Nigeria’s lawmaker representing Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopamuro Federal Constituency of Kogi State at the 10th National Assembly, Leke Abejide, has urged Nigerian youths to keep supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, assuring that he would fix all the country’s problems before exiting office.
Abejide, who doubles as the chairman of the House Committee on Customs, gave the assurance when he received All Progressives Congress chieftains and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by their National Coordinator, Abbas Mustapha, and the Secretary, Mustapha Alfa Makanta, in his office in Abuja recently.
According to Abejide, it is clear that President Tinubu would return as the country’s president in 2027.
He said economic policies by the Tinubu administration had already started yielding results with the decline in the inflation rate, which stood at 21.88 percent as of July 2025, and the gradual reduction in the prices of food items.
He urged Nigerians to keep faith with Tinubu and to remain focused ahead of the 2027 election.
In their separate remarks, Mustapha and Makanta hailed Abejide for supporting President Tinubu’s government despite being an ADC lawmaker.
“We commend your unwavering loyalty to the cause of Mr. President. You have proven not only to be progressive but also to be part of the journey to usher in a breather of fresh air for the country,” Mustapha stated.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the 2023 election, Adebayo Adewole, has said President Tinubu will be voted out in 2027 if he fails to fix economic hardship and insecurity.
