WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Tony Buzbee, who recently had a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z thrown out of court, has been barred from practicing law in the Southern District of New York. Buzbee is no longer allowed to practice law in the Southern District of New York after he failed to obtain the necessary permission before submitting his application for admission to the district court in January 2025. The allegations of misconduct against him were also one of the reasons for the attorney’s barring. Back in December, Buzbee amended a lawsuit initially filed against Diddy to include Jay-Z. The alleged victim claimed that the rappers drugged and then sexually assaulted her when she was 13 years old at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2000. Earlier this month, Buzbee voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit with prejudice, meaning the case cannot be refiled, but Jay-Z has not dropped his multi-million dollar lawsuit against the Houston attorney. “This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions. The system has failed,” Jay-Z said in a statement.
