Drake’s support for fellow Toronto artist Pressa has sparked unexpected tension after rapper Top5 publicly accused him of being “disloyal.”
The drama began when Drake promoted Pressa’s new album Press Machine II on his Instagram Story, a move that Top5 said felt like a betrayal.
Speaking with DJ Akademiks during a weekend livestream, Top5 said, “Tell me that’s not crazy. He goes and posts my opp’s music,” adding that Drake has long known about their feud.
Akademiks calls Top5 after seeing him post Kendrick and the reason is because “Drake was disloyal to him”
Top5 says he did it because Drake was “disloyal” for posting Pressa’s diss track aimed at him.
He even doubled down on Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” bar:

Top5 claimed that Drake even stepped in during a past incident. “Pressa was supposed to perform at Wireless, and I told Drake if he lets this guy perform, it’s a problem. So Drake pulled him out last minute,” he explained.
Despite defending Drake from other accusations online, Top5 said the promotion crossed a line. He also admitted he secretly enjoyed Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us, saying, “You know that part where he says ‘Chubbs’ with the hand me downs? That’s facts.”
When Akademiks asked why he did not contact Drake privately, Top5 said their earlier conversation did not go well. “When I said this guy’s my opp, he noted, ‘I’m trying to make Toronto look good.’ I said, ‘I’m gonna make L.A. look good tonight.’”
