Torino are closely monitoring Empoli midfielder Tino Anjorin with a potential summer move under consideration, following the former Chelsea man’s standout display against Venezia, Footynaija.com reports.

Italian outlet Tuttosport reports that Torino’s technical director Davide Vagnati was in attendance at the Stadio Carlo Castellani on Easter Sunday to watch Empoli’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Venezia — a key relegation battle in Serie A. Vagnati is said to have had his eyes on two players, with 23-year-old Anjorin featuring prominently on the club’s radar.

Anjorin, who joined Empoli from Chelsea last summer, has made 18 appearances this season, registering three assists and scoring once — his late equaliser against Venezia coming right in front of the Torino delegation.

His ability to operate in various midfield roles, including as an attacking midfielder, makes him an attractive option for a Torino side aiming to bolster their squad versatility.

While no final decision has been made, Vagnati’s presence points at Torino’s serious interest in the versatile midfielder, who remains eligible to represent Nigeria at senior international level despite his involvement with England’s youth teams.

Anjorin is currently working his way back from injury and hopes to return to top form in time to attract the attention of Nigeria’s head coach Eric Chelle ahead of the upcoming Unity Cup and 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
