Rapper Tory Lanez may be behind bars, but that’s not stopping him from stirring the pot. While serving his 20-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, Tory has somehow managed to record and release new music—reportedly using a makeshift recording studio inside his prison cell.

DELANO, CALIFORNIA – SEPTEMBER 19: In this handout photo provided by the California Department of Corrections, Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, is photographed for a new booking photo at North Kern State Prison on September 19, 2023 in Delano, California. On August 8, 2023, Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for negligent discharge of a firearm, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and carrying an unregistered and loaded firearm in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. And in classic Tory fashion, he didn’t hold back.

Tory Lanez vs. Jay-Z?

On one of his latest tracks, which samples “So Appalled” (a song Jay-Z originally rapped on), Tory raps:

“Tell Jigga to stop touching those kids.”

Yes, you read that right. He’s coming for Jay-Z—while sitting in prison.

The Problem? Jay-Z Was Already Cleared of Those Allegations

Now, let’s be clear—this accusation has already been debunked. Jay-Z was recently exonerated after a woman falsely claimed he had assaulted her when she was underage.

After private investigators dug deeper into the case, the woman admitted that she made up the allegations. Case closed.

But apparently, Tory didn’t get the memo—or he just doesn’t care.

The Irony? Tory Wasn’t Exonerated for Anything

While Tory is trying to throw shots at Jay-Z, let’s not forget—he was actually convicted. Unlike Jay-Z, who was cleared of false allegations, Tory is sitting in prison for the next two decades because a jury found him guilty of shooting a woman.

The irony? Tory is out here calling someone else out when he’s the one locked up.

How Is Tory Recording in Prison?

The bigger question is—how is Tory Lanez even dropping music from behind bars?

Reports claim that he’s been using a makeshift recording setup inside his prison cell. While the details remain sketchy, it’s clear that Tory is still trying to keep his music career alive, even if it means taking wild shots at one of the most powerful figures in hip-hop.

Final Thoughts—Is This a Desperate Attempt for Attention?

At this point, it’s hard to tell if Tory actually believes what he’s saying, or if he’s just grasping at straws to stay relevant.

Coming for Jay-Z, who is not only one of hip-hop’s biggest moguls but also a man who was cleared of any wrongdoing, feels like a desperate move.

Meanwhile, Tory is still serving time for his own crimes, and no amount of diss tracks will change that reality.

What do y’all think? Is Tory reaching? Or does he have a bigger game plan here?
