Tory Lanez just suffered a major legal blow after a California appeals court refused to overturn his conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, cementing the explosive case that has trailed both stars since 2020.
The three-judge panel upheld Lanez’s 2022 guilty verdict for firing at Megan’s feet after a night out at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home. Megan, who needed surgery to remove bullet fragments, told jurors Lanez aimed at her as she walked away from their SUV and yelled at her to dance. Her testimony became a cultural flashpoint, igniting fierce debate across social media.
Lanez’s lawyers insisted the trial was mishandled, but the court shot down every claim. Judges said it was fair for Megan to explain how shaken she was while taking the stand and allowed jurors to hear a previously recorded interview with a friend, Kelsey Harris, who suddenly claimed she didn’t remember much in court.
