Members of Toscana Sports Club, (TSC) has expressed deep sadness over the demise of a legendary comic Nollywood actor and friend of the club, Mr. John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu.

TSC is the largest social Club in Nigeria known for its acts of philanthropy, through youth and women empowerment, medical outreach, payment of hospital bills, community development projects, scholarship, among other charitable activities.

In a condolence message signed by the National Chairman of the Club, HIGH CHIEF. CHIEDOZIEM EJEAGBASI, and Engr. Chidi Orji (Ph.D), the group described late John Okafor a good friend of the club and a jolly good fellow who was commitment to it’s development.

The group said that his unique humour and iconic performances touched countless lives and brought joy to audiences around the world.

The statement reads;

“CONDOLENCE

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. John Okafor AKA Mr.Ibu, a beloved and talented comic actor.

His unique humor and simple personality brought joy and laughter to audiences around the world.

He was a good friend of Toscana Sports Club and a jolly good fellow who commitment to the development of the club.

He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on through his iconic performances and the countless lives he touched.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.”
