Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has introduced her new name to the world.
The box-office queen, via her Instagram page, announced that her new name is Bestie Jesu. She urged her fans to call her the name.
“My new name now is BESTIE JESU, pls my heartbeat TOYINTITANS call me BESTIE JESU”.
Kemi Filani reported last week that Abraham had revealed that her 2025 Cinema movie, Oversabi Aunty, had crossed over N950 million at the box office. Expressing gratitude, Toyin stated that it felt like a dream.
A few weeks back, Abraham was left emotional over the massive love she received from residents of Bonny Island in Port Harcourt. Sharing photos of the crowd at the cinema, for her movie, she praised them for their love and energy, which was unmatched.
Early last year, the wife of Kolawole Ajeyemi had achieved a milestone after her 2024 cinema movie, Alakada Bad and Boujee, got ranked the 5th highest grossing Nollywood release of all time.
Silverbird honored the actress with a Trailblazer award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year award for being fearless, dynamic and redefining Nollywood.
To celebrate her win, Toyin penned a heartfelt note on Instagram, noting how the award is a reminder that hard work, perseverance, and passion never go unnoticed. She noted that the journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has shaped her.
