Davido and Chioma’s just concluded wedding ceremony has brought a lot of unrest to Comedian Dee One’s mind, as he recently went on a full rant, discussing the importance of upholding tradition.

In his video, Dee One said that when he heard about the wedding, he assumed that it would be held in Chioma’s hometown because that is part of Igbo tradition.

However, to his surprise, the wedding was held in Lagos State, and the entirety of Chioma’s family had to travel to Lagos to attend the wedding.

Going forward, he also slammed the family for not thinking about the economic value that hosting Chioma’s wedding in their homers would’ve brought.

Dee One said that the transactions that would’ve taken place in the East due to this wedding would’ve helped to boost their economy.

He threw shade at the general Igbo populace, stating that they usually say that they’re business minded, but this wedding venue proves that they’re not.

Dee One also sent a reminder to Nigerians, asking them to become rich at all cost because it is only rich people that tradition doesn’t apply to.

The controversial comedian said that the Igbo culture was divided into two, and that one side was meant for the rich while the other was meant for people who don’t have money.

In this context, Dee One was referring to Davido being rich, and enjoying the perks of having money because he didn’t travel all the way to the East to host his wedding.

Despite Dee One’s claims of Davido and Chioma’s wedding venue breaking tradition, it was still a huge success, with a lot of dignitaries in attendance.

Even the Governor of Lagos State, Sanwo Olu was present, and he sent his felicitations via social media too.

Davido’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Ogun State was in attendance, and there’s a trending video of him taking over the dance floor, alongside his nephew.
