A tragic incident occurred in the forest area of Osun State on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, as a hunter lost his life following a sudden attack by a wild buffalo.
The deceased, popularly known in the community as “Alfa Elefon,” reportedly sustained fatal injuries during the encounter. He was buried the next day, Thursday, in accordance with local customs.
In the wake of the incident, the community leadership mobilized a response team of experienced hunters to neutralize the threat and prevent further danger.
According to report, the operation was spearheaded by Chief Balogun Nureni Hammed, widely known as A-K LEADER, a respected native of Osogbo and Commander of the Osun State chapter of the Hunters Group of Nigeria.
