The January transfer window is open across Europe and a number of wantaway superstars are angling for moves to new clubs ahead of the second half of the domestic campaign across the continent.

Generally speaking, it’s difficult to do transfer business in January with teams often reluctant to sanction deals for their better players, however, this year the landscape is different and several of football’s biggest names could be set for money-spinning switches before the window slams shut.

Ahead of the impending wheeling and dealing, we’ve zeroed in on five top-class footballers who are currently dominating the transfer market betting action with bookmakers.

Marcus Rashford

Possible destinations: Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG

Manchester United local hero and academy product Marcus Rashford is on the cusp of ending his love affair with his boyhood club and the out-of-favour 27-year-old is weighing up his options ahead of a transfer away from Old Trafford.

According to the latest reports, Rashford’s entourage has already held exploratory talks with both AC Milan and Barcelona ahead of a possible deal, though the La Liga giants are currently priced as 3/1 favourites with soccer betting sites to secure the attacker’s signature before the end of the month.

Christopher Nkunku

Versatile forward Christopher Nkunku has been restricted to just a handful of starts in the Premier League this season and the latest gossip suggests that the 27-year-old is pushing for a move away from Stamford Bridge this month.

Before his move to Chelsea, Nkunku built a solid reputation while performing in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig and a transfer back to Germany could appeal in January, with Bayern Munich rumoured to be monitoring developments.

Indeed, a glance at the betting markets shows the Bavarians as 4/9 odds-on favourites to thrash out a deal to sign Nkunku from the Londoners.

Casemiro

Veteran midfielder Casemiro has been linked with a lucrative move to the Saudi Arabian league for over 18 months now and the 32-year-old could finally make the switch to the Middle East in the coming weeks.

Kyle Walker

Possible destinations: AC Milan, Saudi Arabian club

Pep Guardiola’s admission that Kyle Walker was eyeing up a new challenge elsewhere was a major bombshell earlier this month and the six-time Premier League title winner could end his eight-year association with Manchester City in January.

Walker has no shortage of suitors, though plenty of money has moved in the betting markets in the direction of Italian outfit AC Milan with the Rossoneri priced as short as 1/3 with some bookmakers to sign the defender.
