Southampton have once again made life difficult for Turkish side Trabzonspor in their pursuit of Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu, Soccernet.ng reports.
Fresh reports confirm that the Premier League club has not agreed to the latest transfer offer from the Super Lig giants.
Earlier claims from Turkish media suggested that Trabzonspor had reached an agreement with Southampton to sign Onuachu for €4.5 million plus €500,000 in add-ons.
However, those reports have now been debunked, as reliable sources insist negotiations are still ongoing and far from complete.
According to Daily Echo journalist Alfie House, Southampton are not prepared to sell the 31-year-old at that valuation and believes the reported €5 million package is below their asking price.

Talks are continuing between both clubs, but the Saints are holding firm, and it is hoped that discussions could rumble on for a while, as cited by Saints Extra.
Onuachu spent last season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he impressed with 15 goals and four assists in 21 league appearances.
The towering forward earlier expressed his willingness to remain in Turkey, but Southampton were in no rush to finalise a deal they considered undervalued last summer.
In the 2024–25 season campaign, the returning Nigerian attacker was given a chance by Ivan Jurić—now Ademola Lookman’s manager at Atalanta—which he took by scoring on his debut and finishing the season with four Premier League goals.
The Nigerian joined Southampton from Genk in January 2023 but struggled to adapt in England before being loaned out.
Trabzonspor remain keen on securing a permanent deal, but unless they improve their offer, Southampton seem ready to play hardball once more this summer.
