The club made the announcement today through their official Facebook page, confirming Banda’s departure alongside teammates Jimmy Ukonde and Fopa. Reacting to the news, Banda remained reserved, stating that people will eventually know the full truth behind UD Songo’s decision not to extend his contract. “I can’t say much for now. When the right time comes, my representatives will reveal the whole truth,“ said Banda. Banda joined UD Songo in 2019 after a two-year stint with Ferroviario de Nampula. During his time at Songo, he played a key role in helping the club secure the 2022 Mocambola championship.
