Victor Osimhen scored a brace for Galatasaray to help them claim a 3-1 win over Bodo Glimt on Wednesday….

Super Eagles striker Victor has been ignored for the UEFA Team of the Week, despite scoring a brace for Galatasaray in their 3-1 victory over Bodo Glimt at Rams Park on Wednesday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen was the star of the show for the Cimbom, as they cruised to a handsome 3-1 win over Norwegian giants Bodo Glimt.

His goals ensured that he became the only player in Galatasaray history to score in seven consecutive European games.

Following the result, Cimbom boss, Buruk praised Osimhen for his quality. He also noted that Osimhen should be one of the most expensive strikers in the world.

Meanwhile, the Champions League Team of the Week for game week three was released on Thursday afternoon, and Osimhen was conspicuously missing.

Instead of Osimhen, UEFA chose Atletico Bilbao’s Gorka Guruzeta, who scored a brace for his team in their 3-1 win over Qarabag.

The forward line is completed by Dennis Man (PSV) and Anthony Gordon (Newcastle United). The midfield consists of Fermin Lopez (Barcelona), Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund), and Lennart Karl (Bayern Munich).

Then, Nuno Mendes (PSG), Gabriel Meghalles (Arsenal), Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool), and Denzel Dumfries (Inter Milan) make the back four.

Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario was selected as the goalkeeper of the week, after making eight saves against Monaco.

Why Victor Osimhen Should Have Made The UCL Team of The Week

Victor Osimhen will be disappointed that he did not make the UCL Team of the Week, and in reality, he deserved it.

According to Sofascore, Osimhen was rated a 9.8 against Bodo Glimt, while Gorka Guruzeta was rated 9.5.

Moreover, Osimhen faced a tougher opponent in Bodo Glimt, unlike Guruzeta, who played against Qarabag.

Nonetheless, Osimhen will move on from the disappointment and continue banging in the goals for Galatasaray in Turkey and on the continent.
