UFC Star, Israel Adesanya has shown his support for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) by placing a significant bet of $4,000 on Enyimba to win their rescheduled matchday three fixture against Lobi Stars.
Israel Adesanya took to social media to share his bet, expressing his confidence in Enyimba’s ability to secure a victory.
Adesanya’s bet indicates that he is backing the nine-time NPFL champions to emerge victorious, with a potential payout estimated at $5,930.
Note that the highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba at 4 p.m. later today, September 25.
This latest display of support for Nigerian football follows Adesanya’s previous $10,000 bet on Anthony Joshua’s IBF heavyweight fight against Daniel Dubois.
Meanwhile, Enyimba’s head coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, has expressed the team’s motivation to claim maximum points in the upcoming clash against Lobi Stars.
Olanrewaju who is leading Enyimba into the NPFL encounter days after his team secured a CAF Confederation Cup group stage qualification, emphasized his team’s resolve to improve their standing in the league table.
“We have put the game against EFO behind us and now we have to get back to the league,” Yemi told Enyimba media.
“We will try and climb up on the table, seeing us in that position is not something comfortable.
“All the energy is on the game against Lobi Stars and we are motivated to get it done.”
