A UK-based Nigerian man is set to face a disciplinary committee at his workplace after telling a white female colleague that she was “adding weight.”
This development was shared in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @Adamthallith, who revealed that the individual involved is a close friend of his.
According to ..., the Nigerian man reportedly told his female colleague that she was gaining weight and suggested that her shape would “really make sense” if she joined a gym.
The lady, however, found the comment upsetting and reported him to management, stating that the remarks about her body had left her feeling “traumatized.”
“One of our guys here in the UK will face a disciplinary committee on Tuesday at his workplace because he told his white female colleague that she’s adding weight and if she enters a gym, her shape will really make sense. The lady said she’s traumatized by his remarks about her body,” ... reads.

“All I’m praying for right now is for him to be warned or something, because that’s the company that sponsored his visa to the UK. If they terminate his appointment, it means he’ll have to leave the country,” he added.
He also mentioned that this isn’t the first time his friend has made inappropriate comments at work.
According to him, the same man once asked two lesbian colleagues how they had their daughter, a situation that nearly cost him his job but was overlooked due to the intervention of a Nigerian acting director at the time.
“This same guy was asking two of his colleagues, who are lesbians, how they had their daughter. He was warned then and protected by the acting director, who was also a Nigerian. I’m just too sad and worried about him ffs,” he said.
