The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a further loss of 0.08 per cent on Friday, September 26, triggered by a price depreciation of 38 Kobo posted by Geo-Fluids Plc, closing at N4.07 per share compared with the previous day’s N4.45 per share.

Consequently, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) decreased by 2.70 points to finish at 3,545.41 points compared with the previous day’s 3,548.11 points, and the market capitalisation lost N1.62 billion to settle at N2.121 trillion, in contrast to the N2.122 trillion it ended on Thursday.

During the session, the volume of securities soared by 1,834.5 per cent to 1.5 million units from 77,963 units, the value of securities soared by 108.5 per cent to N7.2 million from N3.5 million, and the number of deals surged by 50 per cent to 18 deals from 12 deals.

The most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis was Okitipupa Plc with 160.2 million units worth N6.2 billion, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units traded for N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 45.1 million units sold for N2.0 billion.

The most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis was Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 1.2 billion units exchanged for N418.6 million, trailed by Impresit Bakolori Plc with transacted for 536.9 million units for N524.8 million, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units valued at N4.2 billion.
