WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange rose by 0.47 per cent on Thursday, April 17 on the back of gains recorded by three stocks in the final session before the Easter break. The market capitalisation of the platform increased by N8.99 billion to close at N1.924 trillion compared with Wednesday’s closing value of N1.915 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) jumped by 15.36 points to 3,286.38 points from the previous session’s 3,271.02 points. During the trading day, 11 Plc gained N4.50 to settle at N245.50 per share versus the midweek’s price of N241.00 per share, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc appreciated by N1.40 to close at N22.10 per unit compared with the previous day’s N20.70 per unit, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc grew by 19 Kobo to trade at N37.64 per share, in contrast to the preceding session’s N37.45 per share. Yesterday, the volume of securities bought and sold by the market capitalisation by 238.1 per cent to 124,266 units from the 36,757 units transacted in the previous trading day, the value of trades went up by 156.4 per cent to N5.1 million from the N1.99 million recorded a day earlier, and the number of deals soared by 47.6 per cent to 31 deals from the 21 deals transacted in the previous trading session. Impresit Bakolori Plc ended the trading day as the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million, followed by Okitipupa Plc with the sale of 153.6 million units for N4.9 billion, and Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc with 71.2 million units valued at N24.2 million. Okitipupa Plc also remained the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 153.6 million units for N4.9 billion, trailed by FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with a turnover of 14.8 million units valued at N571.0 million, and Impresit Bakolori Plc with 533.9 million units worth N520.9 million.
