The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange began the week with a 1.15 per cent growth on Monday, July 14 despite a decrease in the level of activity.
Data from the bourse revealed by there was a 52.6 per cent slump in the volume of securities during the session to 1.3 million units from the 2.7 million units traded last Friday, as the value of trades depreciated by 74.7 per cent to N9.9 million from the N38.9 million recorded in the preceding trading day, and the number of deals went down by 26.5 per cent to 25 deals from the 34 deals completed in the previous session.
Okitipupa Plc ended the trading session as the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 153.8 million units sold for N4.9 billion, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million units worth N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 42.3 million units valued at N1.8 billion.
Impresit Bakolori Plc also remained as the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 536.9 million units traded for N524.8 million, trailed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.2 million valued at N4.2 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 272.3 million units worth N493.4 million.
Business Post reports that the price of Lagos Building Investment Company (LBIC) Plc crumbled by 30 Kobo on Monday to end at N3.08 per unit compared with the preceding session’s N3.38 per unit.
However, Okitipupa Plc grew by N11.81 to N235.00 per share from N223.19 per share, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc appreciated by N3.30 to N36.30 per unit from N33.00 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc improved by 62 Kobo to N64.98 per share from N64.36 per share, and UBN Property Plc added 14 Kobo to end at N2.24 per unit versus N2.10 per unit.
Consequently, the market capitalisation went up by N5.27 billion to close at N2.033 trillion compared with last Friday’s N2.01 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) appreciated by 39.64 points to 3,472.84 points from 3,433.20 points.
