PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has conveyed his warmest congratulations to President Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.

In a statement released today by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), President Tinubu expressed his eagerness to enhance the relationship between Nigeria and the United States in light of the complex challenges and opportunities facing the world today.

Donald Trump declared his victory today, promising to “heal” the nation as results indicated he was poised to defeat Kamala Harris in a remarkable return to the White House.

President Tinubu stated, “Together, we can promote economic cooperation, foster peace, and tackle global challenges that impact our citizens.”

He noted that Trump’s victory signifies the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership and commended their commitment to democracy.

President Tinubu believes that, with Trump’s prior experience as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021, his return as the 47th president will lead to a fruitful era of meaningful economic collaboration and development partnerships between Africa and the United States.

Acknowledging America’s significant influence and position in shaping global events, Tinubu expressed his hope that President Trump will drive the world closer to peace and prosperity.
