Professor Pat Utomi has denied claims made by former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, regarding their dealings over a cancelled contract. Utomi described Amosun’s statements as “false indications” and lacking in integrity.

The dispute began when Amosun admitted that a cancelled contract contributed to a Chinese firm obtaining a court order to seize Nigeria’s presidential jets in France. Utomi then shared his own experience of having a contract cancelled by Amosun, leading to significant losses.

Amosun responded by claiming that Utomi was declared an enemy of the state by the Ogun State House of Assembly before he became governor, and that he had called Utomi to discuss the issue. However, Utomi denies this, stating that he never received a call from Amosun and only contacted him through a mutual associate.

Utomi also contradicted Amosun’s claims about their meetings and discussions, providing a detailed account of their interactions. He emphasized that Amosun’s actions led to significant financial losses for him and his partners, and questioned Amosun’s integrity as an accountant.

The exchange highlights a bitter dispute between the two men, with Utomi accusing Amosun of making false statements and lacking integrity.
