While Marvel Rivals will feature classic and canonical pairings like Mr. Fantastic x Invisible Woman, Storm x Black Panther, and Rogue x Gambit, the preview also confirmed three typically non-canon ships: Cloak x Dagger, Wanda x Venom, and Loki x Mantis. These unexpected matchups have already sparked heated debates across fan forums and discussion boards.

Venom and Scarlet Witch are perhaps the most shocking and hotly debated pairing. Marvel Rivals previously hinted at Venom having a crush on Wanda, something that, until now, didn’t seem mutual. In gameplay, Venom has made his yearning for Scarlet Witch clear at least twice, leaving fans divided over whether romance is a natural progression for the two.

In one instance, Venom declares that he finds Wanda’s destructive, chaotic nature hot, and in another, he tells her she’d make a great Queen of Klyntar by his side.
