Verve gets global recognition

Verve, Africa’s leading domestic payments card scheme and token brand and a subsidiary of the Interswitch Group, has been named in the Global Payments Power 50 list by The Power 50.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Wednesday, since its launch in 2009, Verve has grown into a leading payment card scheme in Africa, issuing over 70 million payment cards and expanding its acceptance across more than 25 African countries.

The Managing Director for Payment Cards and Tokens at Interswitch and Chief Executive Officer of Verve International, Vincent Ogbunude, emphasised Verve’s commitment to delivering secure and efficient payment solutions tailored to the needs of African markets while ensuring access to global services in local currencies.
