VeryDarkMan: Mohbad’s Father Makes Fresh ‘Confession’ About Late Singer’s Death

Mohbad Father

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has opened up about the series of disturbing events surrounding his son’s death, revealing his growing suspicions and alleged attempts to keep him in the dark.

In a recent interaction with popular social commentator, Vincent Otse Martins (VeryDarkMan), Aloba narrated how he was first informed of his son’s health crisis, only to be faced with a sudden and suspicious turn of events upon his arrival.

Aloba said he received a call from Mohbad’s mother around 4:30 p.m. on September 12, informing him that the singer was sick and had been taken to the hospital. According to him, he immediately agreed to meet her so they could head to the hospital together.

“On the 12th of September, Iya Mohbad called me around 4:30 p.m. to tell me that my son is not well and is being hospitalised.

“I told her I was at a bus stop and she should come meet me so we could go together,” Mohbad’s father recounted.

He explained that when they arrived at Osapa London, they were informed by Mohbad’s uncle, Darosha, that the singer was recovering and there was no need for further concern.

“Darosha Iya told me that my son is getting better now and I can go home around 7:00 p.m.,” he said.

However, the calm reassurances didn’t sit well with him.

“I was already sensing my son was dead,” he added.

“Because of how they kept calling me that my son is not well, and then all of a sudden they said he was fine, that I could go back.”

‘I Saw Blood-Soaked Duvet’ – Aloba Describes Shocking Scene

Still suspicious, Aloba said he decided to accompany family members to Mohbad’s house later that evening.

Upon arrival, he claimed he met a crowd at the entrance and was initially denied access.

“When I got there, they blocked the entrance. I had to introduce myself before I could get in,” he recalled.

But what he saw inside left him shaken, Mr Aloba said.

“When I went upstairs, that’s where I and Mohbad usually met, I noticed that the duvet was soaked in blood,” Aloba said.

He claimed the sight deepened his suspicion that something had gone terribly wrong long before he was contacted.

‘They Embalmed My Son Without My Consent’

Aloba further alleged that several questionable decisions were made without his input, including the embalming of his son’s body at home.

“They embalmed him in the house,” he claimed.

“And when they tried to take his body to the morgue that night, the morgue refused.”

He also said he was prevented from accessing the official police report of the death.

“We went to the police station. When I was giving my statement, someone came out and said they should not give me the police report because I didn’t report his death on time,” Mr Aloba added.

‘Mohbad’s Wife Withheld Doctor’s Report’ – Aloba Alleges

Aloba added that Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi, had possession of the doctor’s report but allegedly chose to remain silent.

“Wunmi had the doctor’s report, but she didn’t say anything about it,” he said.

He insisted that vital information was kept from him in the hours following his son’s death, further fuelling concerns of a possible cover-up.

Naijaonpoint reports that Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances in September 2023, sparking public outcry and widespread demands for justice.

His sudden death at age 27 led to protests and renewed focus on artist welfare and industry-related bullying.

Since then, conflicting accounts and delays in toxicology reports have only heightened public suspicion, with many calling for transparency and a thorough investigation into the real cause of death.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response to Aloba’s latest claims from law enforcement or Mohbad’s family representatives.
