Congratulatory messages are pouring in for Veteran Nollywood actor Antar Olaniyan as he bags a doctorate degree.
The Yoruba actor, via his Instagram page, announced that he was awarded a doctorate degree from Achievers Networks UK Academy.
The honour was conferred in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the creative and entertainment industry. It marks a significant milestone in his journey as an actor, cultural ambassador, and respected figure in the arts.

Last year, his colleagues, veteran actors Adebayo Salami, Jide Kosoko, and Patience Ozokwo were honored with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theatre and Media Arts from the same University. This was to celebrate their illustrious careers and contributions to the entertainment industry.
Similarly, Yoruba actress Laide Bakare bagged a Doctorate Degree in Arts & Humanities from the American University of Peace and Governance, USA. The movie star stated that it was official for people to address her as a Dr.
Also, last year, Anita Joseph issued a public service announcement to Nigerians as she bagged a Doctorate in Humanities.
To add to it, controversial actress, Nkechi Blessing had bagged a doctorate in Real Estate management. She had also issued a stern warning to the public and media outlets, letting them know that with her new status, she wouldn’t hesitate to sue anyone who defames her in public.
In 2023, Pete Edochie had bagged two doctorate degrees and an award. The veteran was honored with a doctorate in Literature, another doctorate degree in Arts, and a lifetime achievement award by the International School of Technology and Management, ISTM University, Togo. The honor was given to the veteran for his artistic involvement and grooming in the Nigerian creative industry.
In 2022, Sola Sobowale bagged an honorary doctorate degree in Philosophy from Estam University. Sola shared the good news on her Instagram page as she announced that she is now a doctor and is in a new dispensation.
Also, Ireti Doyle had bagged a Doctorate Degree. Expressing her joy, Ireti revealed that she never foresaw her achievement, as she had envisaged many things for herself but she didn’t see this coming.
To top it off, veteran comedian, Klint Da Drunk was honored with a doctorate degree. Expressing his joy, Klint revealed how surreal his achievement still felt to him. He stated that he wished his father was alive to see his achievement.
