A veteran in the Nigerian movie industry, Mr Segun Remi, fondly called Chief Kanran, has reportedly passed on.
He was said to have died on Friday morning at the age of 72, though the cause of his death was yet to be known at the time of filing this report.
The chief executive of Best of Nollywood (BON) awards, Mr Seun Oloketuyi, announced the demise of Chief Kanran on his Instagram post today.
Recall that a few years ago, a popular cleric fondly called Agbala Gabriel visited the veteran actor at his Lagos home and there were plans to help him produce a new movie he was planning to shoot.
