German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen has confirmed that Super Eagles stars Victor Boniface and Felix Agu will be unavailable for their final game of the year at Augsburg today, Soccernet.ng reports.
Agu has been out of action since the start of October due to a syndesmosis ligament injury that required surgery.
That injury has kept him sidelined for eight games for his club and has also kept him out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, Boniface has been nursing a minor knee problem since last week. That issue caused him to miss Die Werderaner’s game against Stuttgart last weekend, and he has not been training with the rest of his teammates.

Now, ahead of Werder Bremen’s game against Augsburg at the WWK Arena on Saturday, it has been confirmed that both players will be unavailable for selection.
Their absence won’t be a significant miss for Die Werderaner, though, as they have been playing without Agu for almost three months, while Boniface has not shown much quality since arriving in the summer.
When Will Victor Boniface and Felix Agu Return to Action for Werder Bremen?

Victor Boniface and Felix Agu’s return dates are still unknown. Agu is still undergoing physiotherapy; afterward, he will still have to do some gym work before he resumes training on the grass. He likely has around two months to go before he can start playing again.
Meanwhile, Boniface’s case is unclear, but it does not seem too serious and might not keep him sidelined for too long.
Luckily, after this weekend, the Bundesliga does not return until the second week of January 2026, giving him three weeks to recover. By the time the season resumes, the Super Eagles star should be ready to go.
