Victor Osimhen took centre stage once again as Galatasaray wrapped up the Turkish Super Lig title with a commanding 3-0 win over Kayserispor at Rams Park on Sunday night, Footynaija.com reports.

The Super Eagles striker opened the scoring in the 26th minute, towering above the defence to nod home Gabriel Sara’s pinpoint corner.

It was Osimhen’s 25th goal in just 29 league matches, a milestone that sees him equal the single-season goal tally of Galatasaray greats Bafétimbi Gomis (2017-18) and Mauro Icardi (2023-24), as per Opta.

His latest strike not only pushed him closer to the Golden Boot but also helped Galatasaray seal their 24th league title with two games to spare. The Yellow-Reds now boast 89 points — eight clear of arch-rivals Fenerbahçe — ensuring the trophy remains in Istanbul.

Osimhen’s nearest challenger for the top scorer award, Krzysztof Piątek, sits four goals adrift on 21. With two matches left, the Nigerian forward is odds-on to claim the prize.

Across all competitions, the Napoli loanee has notched 36 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances, playing a key role in what has been a historic domestic double.

His red-hot form has already attracted interest from top European clubs, with his future set to dominate headlines this summer.
