Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has decided to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, but that transfer could take a bit more time before it is done, Soccernet.ng reports.
Napoli and Galatasaray have been on the negotiation table in recent days to complete Osimhen’s permanent transfer to Galatasaray.
It is going to be an intricate transfer, as the Lions are trying to pull off a groundbreaking deal. In fact, it will be by far the most expensive transfer in Turkish sports history.
Victor Osimhen has informed Napoli of his desire to get deal sealed with Galatasaray ASAP.
Galatasaray will pay €75m as release clause value — but negotiating payment terms in 5 years as exclusively revealed.

Osimhen’s release clause is €75 million, and Galatasaray appears willing to match it, but it is unexpected that they will be able to produce such a big fee at once.
So the payment will likely be in installments over the next few years.
However, it appears that the deal has hit a snag. This is as Italian transfer expert Di Marzio reports that Napoli have halted negotiations for the meantime.
On Wednesday, the Partenopei informed Galatasaray that they want assurances that they will make the payments in due time, so they have asked the Turkish giants for bank guarantees withing a time frame. But Galatasaray are yet to provide any.

It is understood that the bank guarantees are not actually mandated by UEFA; rather, it is Napoli that are pushing for it, and they might not budge until they get it.
Confirmed! #Napoli have not received the guarantees requested from #Galatasaray about the payments of Victor #Osimhen’s transfer fee (75M). The talks are currently stalled as revealed last night. Victor Osimhen: Will Liverpool and Manchester United pounce?
Now that the negotiations for Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray have been delayed, other clubs that have been linked with the 26-year-old striker might pounce.

Recall that Victor Osimhen has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United recently, and both clubs are yet to sign a striker.
They might take the initiative and move in for Osimhen now. Both clubs definitely need a point man, and there are not many quality ones in the market.
If they fail to get Osimhen, they will not get any other striker with his skill set at €75 million or less.
