Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, whose future has been one of the most discussed topics of this summer transfer window, has effectively ruled out the possibility of permanently joining Galatasaray’s Super Lig rivals Fenerbahce as a final decision on his next destination edges even closer, Footynaija.com understands.

Even while Osimhen’s loan contract with Galatasaray was still active, reports emerged that their fierce rivals Fenerbahce were weighing up the possibility of snatching the prolific Nigerian center forward for themselves ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

While a counter report emphasizing Osimhen’s loyalty to Galatasaray made the rounds at that time, it appears the player himself has now erased any lingering doubts about his stance on playing for another club in the Turkish Super Lig as per reports from habersarikirmizi.

“I was intimidated by the fanaticism in Napoli. The fanaticism in Turkiye is greater than Napoli,” the 26-year-old hitman allegedly said in quotes revealed via the Galatasaray news outlet.

“If I were to move from one club to another in Istanbul, I would be worn out. I am not keen on that.”

If these quotes are indeed the words of Victor Osimhen, then Galatasaray fans can rest assured that if the Super Eagles marksman eventually decides to return to Turkey on a permanent basis this summer, RAMS Park is the only possible destination for him.

Meanwhile, interest from the Middle-East remains, as Al Hilal are reportedly willing to try again for Osimhen’s signature despite three previous failed attempts. The Saudi giants are thought to be ready to make an improved offer worth €50 million annually, a step up from their previous offer of €30 million.

The likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool also remain in the mix but Osimhen appears to be in no rush to make a decision just yet.
