Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique may have fueled growing speculation linking Napoli-owned striker Victor Osimhen to the French champions as the January transfer window looms, Soccernet.football reports.

Osimhen, who came close to joining PSG last summer after reportedly agreeing on personal terms, saw his proposed move collapse due to failed negotiations between the Parisian club and Napoli.

Instead, the Nigerian international secured a season-long loan deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he has flourished.

The 24-year-old Super Eagles star has been in sensational form for Galatasaray, registering 11 goals and 5 assists in 14 matches across all competitions.

His standout performances have reignited interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs, including Chelsea and PSG, who are said to be keeping a close eye on his progress.

During a press conference ahead of PSG’s Coupe de France clash with Lens, Enrique was asked about the club’s rumoured interest in Osimhen. While he praised the player indirectly, he avoided providing a clear answer.

“Do I like Osimhen? I am not talking about players who are not part of the club. Thank you,” Enrique stated.

Speculation about Osimhen’s future has gained momentum amidst uncertainty surrounding PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani.

With the French striker potentially seeking a new challenge, Osimhen has emerged as a top candidate to fill his shoes at the Parc des Princes.

Osimhen’s electrifying style of play, coupled with his proven ability to score in Europe’s toughest competitions, makes him a sought-after talent. For PSG, his signing could represent a significant boost to their ambitions, especially as they aim to reclaim their dominance in both domestic and continental football.
